当地时间22日,美国太空探索技术公司SpaceX的首席执行官埃隆·马斯克使用Starlink卫星,发出了他的第一条推文。
什么是Starlink?它是SpaceX打造的一种低成本、高性能的空基互联网通信解决方案。截至目前,SpaceX已经发射了计划的12000颗卫星中的62颗。SpaceX还申请再发射30000颗卫星,以完成Starlink项目,使卫星总数达到42000颗。
你没有听错,42000颗卫星!SpaceX的预期就是以这样庞大的卫星星链,实现一个无信息死角的“数字地球”,一举改变既往高成本、低可靠性的网络,直接弥补全世界范围的互联网“缺口”。为了Starlink,截至2018年5月,SpaceX投入的成本已达到100亿美元。
这是个创举,无疑也是个惊人之举。很多人对此表示担忧,也有很多人对此充满兴趣。因为,如果项目成功,预估年收入将高达300亿美元。因此,除了SpaceX之外,瞄准“数字地球”的还有一网星座、亚马逊的柯伊伯星座和美国轨道通信公司等等。

强生10月23日在北京举行“强生中国创新引擎启动”发布会。强生全球执行委员会与中国管理团队,共同宣布成立强生中国创新引擎。
Johnson & Johnson launched on October 23 J&J China Innovation Powerhouse in Beijing. Johnson & Johnson Executive Committee and the China management team announced the establishment of the J&J China Innovation Powerhouse.
强生全球执行委员会副主席杜安卿表示:“作为首批进入中国市场的跨国医疗健康企业,强生与中国市场共同成长,取得了长足发展。中国市场已日益成为全球发展最快的增长引擎和创新引擎。”
“As one of the first healthcare companies to enter China, Johnson and Johnson has been growing with the Chinese market. China has increasingly become a global innovation growth engine,” said Joaquin Duato, Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee, Johnson & Johnson.
公司宣布成立强生中国数据赋能中心,数据中心具备大数据分析能力,通过消费者需求和市场洞察,反向定制业务创新模式。
J&J announced the establishment of the J&J China Data Empowerment Hub, which will develop big data-based new innovation capabilities, effective research model in China to design and market new products customized for Chinese consumers.
强生医疗中国与中国骨科机器人市场的领导者北京天智航医疗科技股份有限公司签订了共同研发合作协议。
Johnson & Johnson Medical China announced that it has entered a co-marketing and distribution agreement, as well as an R&D agreement, with TINAVI, the market leader in orthopaedic robotics in China.

PepsiCo, LAIX Inc., Dada-JD Daojia and China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation (CFPA) jointly held a donation ceremony at E-man Primary School in Dangchang county, Longnan city, Gansu province, announcing the successful closure of the “Quaker with AI, Get Nutrition Home” cross-brand public welfare program.
本次公益活动共筹得款物40万元,将为云南、贵州和甘肃9所贫困地区小学约1800名学生提供共计超过26万份营养加餐,改善贫困地区儿童营养状况。
The public welfare program, having received donations of more than RMB 400,000 yuan, will distribute over 260,000 meals to improve the nutrition of 1,800 students at 9 primary schools in poverty-stricken areas of Yunnan, Guizhou and Gansu provinces.

The program involved over 24,000 participants who participated in LAIX’s AI-powered H5 page or engaged in the public welfare marketing campaign at JD Daojia’s app to express their care and love.
百事公司配捐了桂格燕麦片或现金用于购买鸡蛋和牛奶的营养加餐。
PepsiCo granted matching donations of Quaker oats or cash to purchase eggs and milk as add-on for the nutritious meals.

McDonald's Earnings Fall Short Shares Down 4%
据CNBC报道,麦当劳季度收益两年来首次低于预期,原因是其促销活动难以将美国消费者从竞争中吸引过来。
For the first time in two years, McDonald’s quarterly earnings fell short of estimates as its promotions struggled to lure U.S. customers away from the competition, by CNBC reports.

The company said U.S. same-store sales grew by 4.8% during the quarter, falling short of Wall Street’s estimates of 5.2%. Notably, traffic to U.S. locations continued to decline.

Shares of the company fell 4% in morning trading. McDonald’s stock, which has a market value of $156 billion, is up 14% so far this year.

But those gains trail the stock of Burger King’s parent company Restaurant Brands International, which has gained 31% so far in 2019, giving it a market value of $31 billion.
